PHB Rigid Grade E — Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate), Rigid Grade E
PHB Rigid Grade E is a homopolymer of 3-hydroxybutyrate produced by microbial fermentation. It exhibits high stiffness and strength but is also brittle, making it suitable for applications where rigidity is prioritized over toughness, such as rigid containers or films that are not intended to be flexed.
